Spring is one of our favourite times of year as nature comes out of hibernation and plants begin to germinate and emerge with fresh green shoots.
As a new hop yard, we are waiting anxiously for our first new shoots to come out of the ground to nuture and support them as they grow into full maturity this summer.
Well our wait is over - it's officially spring in the Hop Yard.
The first shoots have emerged from our newly mounded plantings and they have started their annual climb.
To make sure we're ready for their first growth spurt, we have already installed the drop lines to provide the hop bines with the necessary support to reach their maximum height. The drop lines really provide a visual indication of how impressive our little hop yard will be in the middle of summer 2016!
We can't wait to keep you up to date on our progress as we hope you're as excited as we are!
